PRIMITIVE PIECES BY LYNDA NEWS
VOL.3 - May/June 2010
WELCOME to everyone that has signed up to be on the email and/or pattern club lists in the past couple of months.. It's always so exciting to meet new people that love primitives. Welcome to my little corner of the prim world.
It has been a very exciting couple of months here at Primitive Pieces by Lynda. We heard from our oldest son and his wife, (Chad and Lane) that they are expecting their first child. We were given this news on Easter Sunday after church. We are so very excited and can hardly wait. The baby is due the first part of December...my very favorite month.....and just before Santa comes! Just think, another grand baby for me to spoil. You know I take my job as gramma very seriously!
I have been very busy working on my new book that is being published by the Kansas City Star. It's been so much fun to work with the Star. My editor has been wonderful to me and has learned first hand my lack of computer skills. The book will be out in July. I can hardly wait to show it to all of you, so please stay tuned. You will be first to hear about it.
My Chelsie has done it again. The new pattern covers are great and they will be ready VERY soon. I'm hoping my printer guy can meet with me this week to finalize it all. I have posted pictures of the new quilt and/or projects on the Keeping Room page. When you SEE the covers on the pattern page 7, you will know they are ready and you can order them.
I am getting ready to go to spring market in Minneapolis. It's May 21st-23rd I'm so excited that Donna Lillibridge from Quilts on Plum Lane will be rooming with me. We have promised to be as good as we can be....(grin), but we also plan to have some fun! PRIMITIVE PIECES BY LYNDA WILL BE IN BOOTH 2051 so, I hope, if you are attending you will stop by for a visit.
On the home page you see a new table runner. It is one of the projects I'm teaching at Primitives of the Midwest at the end of July. So many of you have written to ask me about it being a pattern. It will become a pattern shortly after my return from that retreat. If you are on the email list, I will be sure to let you know when it can be purchased. It's one of three projects I will be teaching.

NAME FOR THE PATTERN CLUB....Sigh! I'm afraid a name hasn't been chosen yet for the pattern club. I've received so MANY suggestions that now I'm having trouble deciding on which one. I want it to be as special as you are to me, so please be patient a little longer. I'll try really hard to decide soon. YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW!
patterndeal of the monthis STARS ON A TIN ROOF - regularly sells for $9.00 is now only $7.50 Just in time for the red/white and blue celebrations coming up!
An update regarding the way the newsletters are being done. If there is an update, I will add it to the bottom of the newsletter so you will not have to go find it. BUT, you will have to check periodically to see if anything new has been added.
A special thank you to everyone that has been concerned about my kitty, Topaz. She's a senior citizen now and so she has good days and bad. She's been a little under the weather lately and we've been concerned. She really does love that you care and she's sending you a big "MEOW" as a thank you.
Before I leave, let me remind you to check the Keeping Room Page for the new quilts and/or projects for spring. And, Watch the pattern page 7. It's when you see the covers posted there that they will be ready for purchase.
Please be safe! Until next time, Lynda
* The January newsletter stated some patterns were retiring and as they sold out they would be added to the E-Pattern listing. This can be found by clicking on the pattern button on the left hand side of my home page. You will see a link from the main pattern page to order E-patterns. Having said that, some of the ones that are retiring are being bundled together into new patterns - you will see that printed under the picture if that is the case. i.e. The Crow sewing bird has been bundled with the NEW pattern FUNDA BUNDLE 2........If you have any questions, email me and I'll be happy to help you.
This month Primitive Sketches has been added to the e-pattern list.
Check out the complete list by clicking on the January newsletter link from the gazette page. IF you are interested in one of these pattern, please do so, as they will not be reprinted. Thanks for your understanding.
