Mary Ann Pendleton from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey returned this lovely block. She has dedicated her mom, Sally and also to her friend Karin who is battling cancer at the present time.

Gaye Smith returned these super blocks with a wonderful note.....the enclosed blocks are from a group of women that used to work at a local quilt shop that has since closed. We all became friends and have been getting together twice a month to sew and have dinner.
When I saw your request on your website I took it to them and we all decided it needed to be done. Most of us have lost a loved one to cancer. I am enclosing 8 blocks and hope you will share a picture of the quilt that they will get to see when they are finished. The blocks were made by:

Mary Walters, a friend from the Gaye Smith group made this lovely block. It wasn't sent in with the others, but Gaye wanted us to know that Mary was the manager of the shop where all of the girls in that group worked. Jozelle Wallace from Wichita, KS (a very favorite place of mine!) sent me this super block and she has dedicated it to her sister, Janette who had breast cancer surgery in February, chemo this summer and reconstruction last week....she says all reports are good and her prognosis is for a long, healthy life. Congratulations Janette.
