2012 - summer/fall news

I hope you've been keeping up with the news through my blog this year.  It's been a very busy one and having a website, a blog, facebook and twitter, some days I think I run around in circles.

The news letters have almost become a thing of the past.  A lot of problems with getting them to you through email became a nightmare last year.  Every time I tried to email a newsletter to each of the regular email list, another one to the Back Door Friends Pattern Club and also Shop owners, each having to be a little different was exhausting.  It also took away from the time I could spend creating some new patterns for all of you.

So, the Blog became the hub of the news updates, which in turn sent them to all facebook fans.  Twitter..well, I do try to get there!  lol

Ok, so enough of that.  By now I hope you have heard of the biggest project I've worked on this year.  My new book, published by the Kansas City Star, will be in shops by Sept. 15th I'm told.  I haven't gotten my copies yet, but if you want one, please reserve one now so I won't run out the first week I have them.

Christmas Book

I will be attending fall Quilt Market to promote my book through school house there for all the quilt shop owners that attend.  I will also be doing a book signing on Saturday.  I'm so very excited and can't wait to see everyone that attends.  I will be posting the different projects when I post the book on the pattern page.

Lots of new patterns have arrived and they are now on the pattern page along with all the other ones.

PPL083 - Let's Ride, $10.00

PPL084 - Winter (snowman pillowcase) first of 4 $10.00

PPL085 - Crow Gossip, $10.00

PPL086 - Penny Pouch, $10.00

Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine - winter edition will be coming out soon.  I have a project called, "Advent Calendar" in this issue...And, for the spring issue, watch for a project called "Wedding Day"

I have really enjoyed working with the gals at Primitive Quilts and Projects since the beginning.  I will be taking a little time off to devote more time to some new quilt patterns for all of you this next year.

Our granddaughters moved to Tennessee this summer and I miss them terribly.  Skyping is wonderful when we can all get together.  I can't wait to see them this fall.  Pa and I are counting the days

Our grandson Cade will be 2 this December.  I can hardly believe he's grown so fast.

I think that brings us up to date.  Keep checking the blog for all the current updates.  I'll try harder to archive them here for those of you that don't blog.

Until next time,

Hugs, Lynda
